KONG Hydrobot Canyoning Descender
The KONG Hydrobot is an aluminum alloy descender for technical canyoneering. It works with one or two ropes and lets the user adjust braking friction under load. A magnet retains the movable center bar, which can be reversed for left-handed use. The design helps limit rope twist and reduces wear on the connector.
For canyon self-rescue, the Hydrobot also supports emergency rope ascent with a Prusik knot. The self-locking feature applies to the emergency ascent configuration. For rope compatibility and configuration diagrams, see the KONG Hydrobot user manual.
