The KONG X-Large Carbon Auto Block ANSI is a high-strength carbon steel carabiner designed for professional fall protection, industrial rope access, technical rescue, and work-at-height applications. Its asymmetric D-shaped construction directs loads along the major axis while providing a wide gate opening for convenient attachment to compatible anchoring and safety systems.
Featuring a three-action Auto Block locking sleeve, the connector requires the user to lift the sleeve, rotate it, and pull the gate to open. This automatic locking mechanism is designed for secure operation while remaining manageable when wearing work gloves.
The reinforced locking sleeve adds resistance to lateral stress, meeting ANSI Z359.12 requirements. KONG's Keylock nose design helps prevent snagging on ropes, bolts, and other connected equipment.
The Lunar White finish uses a zinc-nickel surface treatment that, according to KONG, provides twice the corrosion resistance of conventional black galvanizing. The finish also improves visibility of laser-engraved product markings and reduces friction against ropes and textile equipment.
With a 50 kN major-axis strength rating, 20 kN minor-axis strength, and 25 mm gate opening, this connector is designed for demanding professional applications.
