KONG BACK-UP ANSI Fall Arrester
The KONG BACK-UP ANSI is a professional fall arrester for flexible anchor lines used in industrial rope access, fall protection, work positioning, and technical rescue. Its compact design and versatile operating modes make it ideal for workers who need dependable fall protection while ascending, descending, or moving along a vertical safety line.
Designed for use with compatible EN 1891 Type A ropes, the BACK-UP features a toothless locking mechanism that helps minimize damage to textile ropes during operation. Its rope-friendly design allows smooth movement along the safety line while locking when required.
A selector lever provides two operating modes: free sliding in both directions along the rope, or upward-only movement to help reduce the potential fall factor.
The BACK-UP can also function as an ascender or rope clamp in compatible rescue systems.
This ANSI version includes a KONG Ovalone Carbon ANSI connector and a dedicated lanyard with an integrated fall indicator. Two connector configurations are available: Twist-Lock and Autoblock.
