SMC Origin 8 Rigging Plate – NFPA General Use

The SMC Origin 8 Rigging Plate is designed to organize and manage multiple connections at a single anchor point during technical rescue and complex rope-system operations. Its eight connection openings provide multiple attachment points while helping reduce friction, congestion, and entanglement within the rigging system.

Large connection holes allow most locking carabiners to rotate easily, providing flexibility when configuring anchors, mechanical-advantage systems, litter systems, and other multi-connection rescue arrangements. Rounded, textile-friendly edges help reduce wear on ropes, webbing, and other textile components that contact the plate.

Constructed from anodized aluminum, the Origin 8 provides a minimum breaking strength of 50 kN in any direction. SMC identifies the Origin 8 as an effective master point for litter bridles and other rescue systems requiring multiple organized connections.

The Origin 8 is NFPA 2500 (1983) General Use certified and is manufactured in the USA.
