SMC FLEX Kit 2 – Rope Protection Pads and Clips

Originally designed by SMC for the demanding technical fire rescue market as an alternative to traditional canvas rope protection, the FLEX system provides a highly configurable solution for rope management and protection. FLEX Pads can be adapted to protect ropes, webbing, trees, anchors, and other surfaces while allowing the system to be configured around the specific demands of the operation.

The FLEX Kit 2 includes two lightweight, durable, abrasion-resistant FLEX Pads and two FLEX Clips. The pads can be used individually or interconnected to create longer or wider protection surfaces. They can also be connected in a sandwich configuration to form a protective rope channel.

The flexible construction allows the pads to wrap around trees, structural members, anchors, edges, and irregular surfaces. SMC recommends the FLEX system for protecting moving and stationary ropes or webbing from abrasive edges, protecting trees and other surfaces from rope or webbing damage, redirecting rope around obstacles, and separating moving or stationary lines.

The system's multiple openings provide numerous options for routing and separating ropes while the included FLEX Clips allow the two pads to be joined in different configurations. Additional FLEX Pads can be connected when a larger protection area or more complex rope-management arrangement is required.

Made from lightweight, abrasion-resistant plastic, the FLEX Pads are 100 percent recyclable.

Kit includes two SMC FLEX Pads and two FLEX Clips.
