SMC Apex Swivel Pulley – 1.5" Triple-Action Locking Pulley
The SMC Apex Swivel Pulley combines an integrated 360-degree swivel connection with a compact professional pulley designed for technical rescue, rope access, work-at-height, and complex rigging systems. The integrated swivel helps maintain proper system orientation while reducing twisting and unnecessary hardware within the rigging system.
The cold-forged swivel eye provides 360 degrees of access and accommodates up to three carabiners. Its smooth, rounded profile is also compatible with soft goods, allowing appropriate textile components to connect directly to the swivel eye when the system configuration permits.
Symmetrical side plates are optimized for prusik-based progress-capture systems and help reduce the potential for misrigging. The opening side plate incorporates a triple-action locking mechanism designed to prevent accidental opening during operation.
The lock requires three distinct actions to open: pivot the lock button, press it inward, and swing open the side plate. The mechanism can be operated with one hand for efficient rope installation and removal.
The Apex accommodates ropes up to 1/2 inch (13 mm) in diameter and is manufactured in the USA.
