Rock Exotica Akimbo² Climbing Device

The Rock Exotica Akimbo² is a mid-line attachable climbing device designed for professional tree-care applications. It allows climbers to ascend, descend, and position on both Stationary Rope Systems (SRS) and Moving Rope Systems (MRS) without changing equipment or disconnecting the device from the harness. 

Adjustable upper and lower bollards allow the friction characteristics to be tuned without tools or disassembly. The Akimbo² accommodates arborist climbing ropes from 11.5 mm to 12.7 mm without requiring an approved rope list, although the user must validate rope compatibility and performance before climbing. 

The device opens for rapid mid-line installation and removal and folds into a compact configuration when not in use. For SRS climbing, the Akimbo² provides additional tending options, including an upper wire-gate connection point. Replaceable components help extend the service life of the device.
