PMI 12.5 mm Dura-Shield General Use Rope, 600 ft
The PMI 12.5 mm Dura-Shield General Use Rope is a heavy-duty life-safety rope engineered for professional rescue, rope access, industrial work-at-height, and other demanding environments where abrasion resistance and heat resistance are critical. Its 100% Technora sheath provides exceptional resistance to wear, heat, chemicals, and dimensional change, while the 100% Nylon 6.6 core provides the strength and handling characteristics required for General Use life-safety systems.
The Dura-Shield construction is particularly well suited for operations where rope may encounter abrasive surfaces, sharp edges, hot piping, bridges, dams, towers, industrial structures, or other harsh working environments. PMI lists a thermal decomposition threshold of 500°C / 932°F and continuous-use capability at temperatures up to 250°C / 482°F.
This Vertex configuration is supplied exclusively as a 600 ft / 183 m rope in Natural Gold. The rope has a minimum breaking strength of 44.2 kN / 9,944 lbf and is classified by PMI as General Use life-safety rope.
