Malta Dynamics 6' Pygmy Hog Class 1-P Personal SRL with Snap Hook

The Malta Dynamics 6' Pygmy Hog is a compact Class 1-P personal self-retracting lifeline designed to provide lightweight fall protection without the bulk of a larger SRL. Its six-foot working length and compact housing make it well suited for workers who require mobility while remaining connected to an overhead anchorage.

The SRL uses a durable UHMWPE and polyester web lifeline housed in a high-impact-resistant thermoplastic polymer body. A 360-degree swivel top helps the unit move with the worker and reduces lifeline twisting, while the side lifeline exit supports smooth payout and retraction. The snap-hook configuration weighs approximately 2.4 pounds, making it particularly suitable for personal attachment and extended wear.

An external shock pack works with the internal braking mechanism to arrest a fall. The Pygmy Hog is designed for anchorage above the dorsal D-ring and may be used as a single SRL or incorporated into a dual-SRL configuration for 100 percent tie-off. A connecting carabiner is included.

The 6' Pygmy Hog supports an ANSI worker capacity range of 130 to 310 pounds. The current Class 1-P model has a maximum arresting distance of 28 inches, an average arresting force of 1,100 lbf, and a maximum arresting force of 1,600 lbf.
