KONG PROG Self-Closing Directional Connector | 35 cm and 50 cm
The KONG PROG is a professional directional connector system designed for climbing, arboriculture, rope access, and work-at-height applications. Combining KONG's patented FROG automatic connector with a semi-rigid tubular webbing extension, the PROG lets users reach and connect to anchor points that are difficult to access with conventional connectors.
The tubular webbing includes an internal flexible bar that lets the user bend and position the extension as needed. This semi-rigid construction helps guide the FROG connector toward the intended attachment point.
The FROG connector features an automatic closing mechanism that keeps its gates open until it contacts a compatible anchor point. On contact, the mechanism releases the gates and automatically closes the connector. The design also prevents accidental opening of the release lever while the connector is under load.
Compared with KONG's PANIC connector system, the PROG can provide additional reach because its FROG connector engages the anchor directionally from below.
Available in two lengths, the standard 35 cm PROG and the extended 50 cm PROG XL, this system offers versatile attachment options for professional climbing and work-at-height applications.
