The KONG FROG CABLE is a compact automatic connector specifically designed for attachment to steel cables and wire ropes. Based on KONG’s innovative FROG system, the connector uses a dual-gate mechanism that automatically closes when it engages the cable, providing fast and secure attachment without manually operating a conventional carabiner gate.

Its specialized geometry allows direct connection to compatible steel cables while the lower attachment eye provides a connection point for compatible lanyards and textile components. Lightweight aluminum-alloy construction makes the FROG CABLE well suited for via ferrata, climbing, and other vertical applications requiring frequent connection and disconnection from cable-based protection systems.
