KONG BACK-UP ANSI Fall Arrester
The KONG BACK-UP ANSI is a professional fall arrester for flexible anchor lines, designed for fall protection, rope access, confined-space operations, rescue systems, and other work-at-height applications. The device follows the operator along the rope and locks in the event of a fall.
A toothless locking mechanism is designed to reduce potential rope damage compared with traditional toothed-cam devices. A selector allows operation in two modes: free movement along the rope in both directions or upward movement only. The BACK-UP can also function as an ascender or rope clamp in rescue systems.
This ANSI version includes an OVALONE Carbon Twist Lock ANSI connector and a special lanyard with fall indicator. It is designed for 10 to 12 mm rope and is certified to ANSI/ASSE Z359.15-2014 as well as applicable EN standards.
