FrenchCreek 199D-50 Controlled Descent Kit – 50 ft

The FrenchCreek 199D-50 Controlled Descent Device Kit provides a complete controlled-descent system for emergency evacuation and rescue applications. The system is designed to provide controlled movement from an elevated position when used with appropriate personal fall-protection equipment and anchorage.

The 199D descent device controls movement through the rope using a lever-operated mechanism. The device automatically locks if the control lever is released and also locks if the lever is squeezed during a panic situation, helping provide controlled operation throughout the descent.

For rescue applications, the device can be inverted and used to lower another individual. The kit includes a 50-foot synthetic kernmantle rope with thimble eye, connecting carabiners, and a storage bag, providing a complete portable descent system.
