Elk River 50' Cable Self-Retracting Lifeline – Foot-Level Tie-Off, Swivel Aluminum Carabiner
The Elk River 50' Cable Retractable is a self-retracting lifeline built for foot-level tie-off, allowing the device to be anchored at or below the worker's dorsal D-ring — the condition encountered on steel decking, girders, and other leading-edge work where overhead anchorage is unavailable.
The unit pairs an internal energy-absorbing system with an integrated external energy absorber to manage the higher arresting forces generated by a fall over an edge and by increased free-fall distance. It arrests the worker in less than 54 inches, meeting ANSI Z359.14 as a Class B device.
The lifeline is 3/16" galvanized aircraft cable in an impact-resistant thermoplastic housing, providing abrasion and cut resistance for work over structural steel and concrete edges. A swivel aluminum carabiner allows the device to rotate with the worker, preventing cable twist during movement.
