Elk River 5/8" Trailing Rope Grab – Anti-Inversion, Anti-Panic, 1-1/4" Ring
The Elk River 5/8" Trailing Rope Grab is a fall arrest device that travels along a 5/8" vertical lifeline, following the worker as they ascend or descend without requiring manual repositioning. In a fall, the grab locks onto the rope to arrest the descent.
The anti-inversion design prevents the device from being installed upside down on the lifeline, eliminating a common field error that can leave a worker unprotected. The anti-panic feature guards against the instinctive reaction of grabbing the device during a fall, which on conventional rope grabs can prevent engagement.
A 1-1/4" connection ring accepts a shock-absorbing lanyard or connector for attachment to the harness dorsal D-ring, allowing the rope grab to be paired with the energy absorber appropriate to the application.
