The 3M DBI-SALA 8301085 Confined Space Aluminum Tripod with Winch is a complete portable entry and retrieval system designed for confined-space access, personnel retrieval, rescue, and emergency evacuation. The system combines a 9-foot aluminum tripod with a manually operated Salalift II winch and 120 feet of stainless-steel cable, providing an integrated solution for vertical confined-space operations.

The lightweight aluminum tripod incorporates telescoping adjustable locking legs, a built-in pulley system, padded feet, and a leg-support safety chain for stable positioning over manholes, tanks, vaults, pits, and other vertical-entry locations. The system can be set up by a single worker and transported between work locations.

The included manually operated winch provides a 6:1 mechanical advantage and incorporates a free-wheel mode for movement within the confined space. The system also includes a three-way emergency retrieval capability, provisions for a secondary leg-mounted mechanical device, and quick-connect mounting brackets for compatible winches and self-retracting lifelines.

The tripod incorporates an eyebolt with a 1,000 lb. material-handling capacity and a mechanical-device mounting bracket rated for material handling up to 620 lb. The 120-foot stainless-steel lifeline provides extended reach for deeper vertical-entry applications.
