Teufelberger Tachyon 11.5 mm Climbing Rope

The Teufelberger Tachyon 11.5 mm Climbing Rope is a professional arborist climbing line engineered for excellent handling, consistent performance, and compatibility with modern climbing systems. Its firm yet flexible construction provides a comfortable grip while maintaining a round profile under load, making it well-suited for demanding professional tree care and utility vegetation management.

Tachyon features a 24-strand polyester cover over a nylon core, combining abrasion resistance with controlled elongation and dependable handling. Low stretch at normal climbing loads helps reduce bounce and improve climbing efficiency, while the rope’s construction provides additional elongation as loads increase.

The 11.5 mm diameter works well with a wide range of modern mechanical climbing devices, friction hitches, pulleys, and other arborist hardware designed for smaller-diameter climbing lines. Tachyon is available in multiple lengths and termination configurations, including unspliced rope and professionally installed sewn, spliced, and tight-eye terminations.

Rope Logic-added eyes include Scannable compatibility, providing track-and-trace capability for equipment identification, inspection, and lifecycle management.

Safety and Use Considerations

Electrical Safety: Although the rope materials resist electrical current, dirt, surface contamination, moisture, and other environmental conditions can significantly affect dielectric properties. Do not consider this rope electrically insulating. Exercise extreme caution whenever the rope is used near energized circuits.

Working Load: The user must establish appropriate working loads and safety factors based on the application, operating conditions, applicable industry practices, and risk assessment. Minimum breaking strength should not be interpreted as a working load limit.
