3M DBI-SALA Rollgliss R550 Rescue and Descent Device with Rescue Wheel – 100 ft.
The 3M DBI-SALA Rollgliss R550 Rescue and Descent Device is a professional rescue and evacuation system designed for controlled descent and assisted-rescue operations from elevated work areas. Its fully automatic controlled-descent design allows a worker to be lowered without requiring manual speed control, while its bidirectional configuration allows repeated rescue or evacuation operations.
This 3327100 configuration incorporates a built-in rescue lifting wheel that allows a rescuer to raise a suspended worker sufficiently to disconnect or release the worker from a fall-arrest system before beginning the controlled descent. The system uses 100 ft. (30.5 m) of 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) kernmantle rope with connecting hardware at both ends for bidirectional operation.
The R550 is rated for rescue and evacuation from heights up to 1,640 ft. (500 m) for a single user weighing up to 310 lb. (141 kg), or up to 575 ft. (175 m) for two users with a combined weight up to 620 lb. (282 kg). The device incorporates a dual-brake design, integrated rope ears, corrosion-resistant construction, and 3M Connected Safety ID for equipment identification and management.
The kit includes the R550 rescue and descent device with rescue wheel, 100 ft. kernmantle lifeline, 4 ft. anchor sling, two carabiners, and carrying bag.
